Deep in the North

This entrance is dedicated to a place I really want to go, and also, to share the great things you can there.
The north of our country, Chile, more exactly on the Tarapacá region, there's a place called Cerro Unitas. Cerro Unitas is a mountain not really high which have one of the most impressive geoglyphs of the desert, and it's sometimes known as "the giant of the desert".
This place is linked to cultures and traditions from many centuries ago, who even in a arid and dry place like desert, could reach a way of living and develop a rich culture. This geoglyph is not the only one, on the same region, there's a lot of rock art, who demonstrate the diversity of practices and relations this populations had.

Is kinda fun, I was born on Valparaiso and lived most of my live in Cauquenes, on the Maule region, I have indigenous roots who linked me with the Mapuche culture, so basically my relation with the north of the country was none until I the time I got to University. Here along with the knowledge of different past cultures of our country and close countries, I started learning about different practices and things that happened and keep happening on our same countries, and I have not idea about them. I'm deeply grateful for the chance the career give me to know more about our country, and its history.

So, now while working on my final works for college, I started getting really into this zone and past cultures, even If I never been there. This is why I want to promote people to go there, learn and explore, our country have a lot of amazing things we should  know. I hope I could work there soon, not sure If I actually want to live there, but I would love to go many times as possible ejejeje.
